Sheikha Salama attends ceremony

WAM ABU DHABI, May 15th, 2010: In presence, and under patronage of Sheikha Salama Bint Hamdan, Wife of H.H General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Zayed University honored 200 female members of the varsity's alumni in a ceremony held under the theme "Belonging and Giving." In remarks at the ceremony, Sheikha Salama hailed the support extended by H.H Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the UAE General Women's Union (GWU) and Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) to women development which in turn contributes to the overall progress of the country under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the follow up by H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
She also noted the outstanding academic status and recognition attained by the Zayed University.
Sheikha Maryam Bint Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan, a graduate with honors degree in Family Science, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates. She expressed gratitude to H.H Sheikha Fatima, Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak, for their support to higher education and women.
Among the honored graduates were Sheikha Maryam Bint Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Sheikha Shamsa Bint Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Sheikha Al-Yaziya, Bint Sultan Bin Khalifa Al-Nahyan, Sheikha Lateefa Bint Sultan Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Sheikha Shamma Bint Saeed Bint Tahnoun Al-Nahyan, Sheikha Maryam Bint Khalifa Bint Saif Al-Nahyan, Sheikha Lateefa Bint Khalifa Bint Saif Al-Nahyan, Sheikha Ousha Bint Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan, Sheikha Al-Yaziyah Bint Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al-Nahyan, Sheikha Shamma Bint Khalifa Bin Hamdan Al-Nahyan.
